The late harvest of the year resulted in a notably exotic wine with an appealing inner sweetness and textural finesse. Galloni suggests it as an excellent candidate for cellaring due to its powerful qualities. 

René Gabriel's BX Total scored it an 18 out of 20, describing it as having a fruity, aromatic, and closed bouquet with notes of red and blue berries, blackberries, black cherries, roasting aromas, and chocolate. The palate is noted for its balance, fine tannins, robust and sweet aromatics, and a long finish. 

The Wine Advocate scored it a 94, noting its classic Pauillac profile with tightly coiled nose notes of blackberry, raspberry, cedar and mint. It describes the wine as medium-bodied with fine tannins and a pure, velvety finish that offers potential for extended cellaring. 

The Wine Cellar Insider also rated it a 94, highlighting truffle, cigar box, black cherry, and smoked meat aromas. It is polished, sensuous, rich, fresh, and juicy, with a crisp finish that emphasizes red berry and spice. 

Wine Enthusiast offered it a range of 93 to 95, characterizing it as a solid and chunky wine with balanced fine, tight tannins. They noted that despite its ripe warmth, the wine also holds a good degree of tension.
