The Wine Advocate: "Three late-released bottles of the 1975 Lafite Rothschild were drinking beautifully, soaring from the glass with scents of sweet red berries, camphor, cigar box and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a generous core of fruit, melting tannins and succulent acids, this is a soft, seamless wine despite the inherently firm style of the vintage, and it's at its peak today."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Firm, rustic, and with as much greenery as fruit, the cranberry notes were more present than currants, giving the wine an overall, tart, chewy, austere, old-school character. The wine is typical of the vintage. If this is your thing, you are going to like it much more than I did. It will go a while longer. But the character is never going to change. Drink from 2024-2040."
